Friends - I apologize for being a bit “radio silent” on here over the past weeks. But today I’m thrilled to finally reveal what I’ve been diligently working on behind the scenes and after hours!
Two questions have been fueling me for the past few years:
What obstacles are hindering believers from wholeheartedly pursuing God’s calling to follow Him with all their heart, mind, and strength and why don’t we have more of God’s people being formally discipled?
Why are churches consistently struggling with a lack of qualified lay leaders in their churches and essentially outsourcing their leadership development or just looking for who they might have to serve?
I’m ecstatic to announce that my new book The Heart, Head, and Hands of a Disciple is releasing January 1st, along with the launch of a companion website, www.wholedisciples.com that will be home to a multi-year curriculum that provides a path to wholeness in Christ and raises up balanced leaders for the church!
This accessible guidebook provides foundations, practices, and a comprehensive multi-year discipleship curriculum aimed at helping believers become fully formed followers of Jesus Christ. It covers core disciplines for nurturing devotion, renewing minds with truth, developing Christlike character, and cultivating hands-on service.
My passion is to see every Christian grow into maturity and live out their faith in real-world impact and see churches raise up their own leaders. I believe God wants much more for us than just surface-level devotion or a piece-meal approach to growing well-rounded followers and leaders for Jesus. The website will feature expanded resources, assessments, and training tools to flesh out the book's content and help individuals and churches intentionally make disciples.
The official launch date of the curriculum is coming very soon but the preview of the website is live now! Pre-orders for the book will be available shortly (the book goes on sale January 1st, 2024.) Please help spread the word to those who want to grow as lifelong disciples and disciple-makers. True revival happens when we stop underestimating the investment required for such intentional disciple making. Time, passionate leaders, and commitment to the discipleship process will be needed to bear fruit. But few investments reap greater eternal rewards! Together, we can stoke renewal by fanning the flame of discipleship once again.
Stop walking an accidental discipleship path. Become a wholehearted, wholeheaded, wholehanded disciple. Stay tuned for more details about this passion project soon! By subscribing to this newsletter, you’ll have first and early access. Your prayers and partnership mean the world!
