Michael DiMarco is Publisher & Creative Director at Hungry Planet, an independent publishing imprint and communications company that helps authors, publishers and organizations reach a visually-engaged culture. Michael also has authored or co-authored a number of books including Cupidity, Marriable, The Art of… dating series, All In, Almost Sex, God Guy, and the 2010 Christian Book of the Year for Youth- B4UD8 (Before You Date.) He is married to an even more bestselling author, Hayley DiMarco, and father to their daughter Addison.
Michael’s background includes a degree in mass communication, hosting talk radio, coaching volleyball at the university level, working in digital publishing and ebooks at the largest Bible software company in the world, and stints as a marketing and creative consultant for some of the largest organizations and ministries around.
Now as Publisher & Creative Director at Hungry Planet, he partners with publishers as packager and content provider to produce books concepts that connect with teens and adults that live life with a multi-tasking mindset.
Hungry Planet’s first book hit the shelves in Fall 2003. In the short span since, Hungry Planet has published more than three dozen titles and has sold over 850,000 books. In addition, nineteen titles have appeared on the CBA Young Adult Bestseller list. Five of the past six years have seen a Hungry Planet title named as a finalist for the Christian Book Award for Youth, with Sexy Girls winning the award in 2007 and B4UD8 (Before You Date) winning in 2010.
On average, Hungry Planet publishes between 4-6 books a year; books known for their cutting edge interior design and award-winning covers.
